DID YOU KNOW? Albacore or white tuna is caught on our coasts from the end of July to the beginning of November. Its fishing is very regulated. The fish we buy have an average weight of 10 kg, or fish that are 3-4 years old on average.
Albacore tuna comes mainly from the Saint Jean de Luz-Ciboure fish market in the Basque Country.
